Even today many assume that the dark skin over the neck is an irreversible problem and lament over it. Some of them even lose their self-confidence due to this. Why worry when you can set them right with a natural remedy?
Exposure to sun rays for long duration is the single most cause for the darkening of the skin. This apart there are other reasons like genetics, poor hygiene, diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome. A sudden gain in weight could also lead to this.
You need not continue to lament over this dark skin as there are many natural remedies with which you can simply get out of it.
Walnuts: The skull-like walnuts are not only good for the brain but for the skin also. They are considered as an excellent scrubber and exfoliating agent. They have the necessary vitamins and minerals which promote skin health and keep them moisturised. Make scrub using walnuts and yoghurt. Take some yoghurt and mashed walnuts and make a thick paste out of it. Apply it to the neck region which has turned dark and gently scrub using your fingers. Let it sit for some time and wash it off with lukewarm water. Try this twice a week and see the difference.
Chickpea Flour: Those days when there were no soaps, people used to use chickpea flour to take bath. It is an excellent scrubber and in those days women used to add turmeric to this and apply over the body while taking bath. Gradually the habit faded away making way for fancy soaps which is made of harmful chemicals. Take two or three tablespoons of chickpea flour and add a pinch of turmeric to it. Mix them into a paste by adding little water. You can add yoghurt if you wish. Apply them to the affected area and leave them to sit for a while after a gentle massage. Follow this natural remedy for dark neck thrice a month and you can see the skin returning to its original colour gradually.
